one of the things that make us different from the average installer using sub-contract labour, is the G L Flooring Academy. This approved SVQ training and in-house assessment centre, developed in conjunction with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) with support from Jewel & Esk College in Edinburgh, provides formal training alongside practical on-the-job experience for all trainee G. L. fitters. This commitment provides a conduit for preserving traditional crafts skills which are passed down from time-served master craftsman to a new generation
