OUR PEOPLE & VALUES

Quality – we source our materials from the world’s best hardwood flooring manufacturers many of whom have appointed us Scottish distributors for their products. This enables us to secure unrivalled prices (see Value for Money) and ensure that our own rigorous environmental standards are reflected in our suppliers’ commitment to sustainability (see also sustainability). High quality materials are underpinned by high quality craftsmanship and unrivalled customer service.

Our unflinching commitment to quality applies to every contract however large or small.

Customer Service – starts long before the installation. Our expertise is available to help match new timbers with existing flooring, panelling or furniture or provide advice on the refurbishment of existing floors. Our professional site survey will help to assess potential challenges which might be revealed when the old floor is revealed. Should unseen problems come to light during the initial stages, we can bring in our in-house conservation & preservation expert in rot and infestation remediation.

(Aftercare is important and we offer a free annual inspection and a range of DIY or contract maintenance packages to ensure that your floor remains in tip-top condition.

Value-For-Money – We firmly believe that a properly installed and maintained floor should last for decades delivering a low cost of ownership and complete satisfaction. Furthermore, this commitment does not have to be purchased at a premium. Our massive buying power, exclusive distributorships, backed by our own skilled installation crews and commitment to affordability mean that we can keep prices very competitive.

Our reputation and track record for floors that last and high customer satisfaction, has enabled us to negotiate outstanding 0% finance packages to make owning a G L Floor even more affordable.

Sustainability - Whilst synthetic laminate flooring has its place in our built environment, timber provides an equally durable options which unlike laminates, can be readily repaired and refurbished.

Timber is a truly renewable material that involves relatively low amounts of energy to produce and process and has minimal environmental impact at life end. Even when burnt, it only releases the same amount of carbon dioxide as originally absorbed by the growing tree.

The ability of forests to absorb carbon dioxide means that they plan an increasingly important role in offsetting the impact of green house gases.

G.L. Flooring and its major suppliers have also taken steps to ensure that the hardwood timbers used in their products come from independently certified sustainable forests.
